Gaspard Yurkievich
The Gaspard Yurkievich boutique first opened its doors in 2005 on Rue Charlot in Paris as the home to designer Gaspard Yurkievich’s own line. The simple, light-filled, minimalist space provides a perfect foil to the directional creations that Yurkievich produces, from elegant women’s shoes to luxurious men’s T-shirts with signature graphic prints. Paris-born Yurkievich studied at the Studio Bercot, graduating in 1993 to then train under the direction of luminaries Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler and Jean Collana. In 1997 he won the prestigious Festival de la Mode in Hyères in 1997 and his first ready to wear collection followed one year later. In 1998, Yurkievich was presented with the prize for the ANDAM competition. His collections are avant-garde and daring, yet maintain a chic aesthetic.
